袋葉眼樹蓮擁有獨特的外觀，中空的葉片像是袋鼠的口袋，因而有「Kangaroo Pocket」的名稱。在叢林中，袋狀葉是的螞蟻的棲身之所，同時植物又會透過根部，吸收螞蟻留下的養分。

Sunlight
Bright, indirect sunlight and good air circulation. Avoid direct sunlight, especially in summer.
Water
Water about twice a week. Allow the growing medium to dry out slightly between waterings. Keep your plant hydrated by using a humidifier, misting the leaves regularly.

Balanced fertilizer during the growing season.

Winter or early spring for major cuts, light pruning anytime for dead or damaged areas.
